Academic Excellence

The academic framework of the school is designed to promote intellectual growth, critical thinking, and a strong foundation in all subjects. We aim to provide a balanced and engaging learning environment that supports students in achieving their full potential.

Overview

Admission to classes 1 to 7 will be based on the merit in the admission test administered to the child provided there exists a vacancy in the class to which the admission is sought.

The test, if conducted in beginning of the season, shall be based on the syllabi prevailing in the school for the class just passed by the student-applicant. If the admission test is conducted at a later date, the syllabi will include those done till date in the class to which the admission is sought. Subjects to be prepared for entrance exam will be English, Math and Science.

Registration Process

  • The School accepts NO Donations or Recommendations for Admission.
  • Use of any influence or unfair means to secure admission will lead to automatic Disqualification.
  • The School has NO outside Agency for Admissions.
  • The School Reserves its right to Admit or Deny admissions to any candidate.

Admission is offered to students of all communities, without distinction of caste, creed, color or religion in Sacred Heart School. Registration entitles a student to appear for the Entrance Test and does not guarantee admission. Admissions are finalized on the basis of the child’s performance in the Entrance Test.

Academics (Beyond Academics)

Activities & Competitions

Sacred Heart offers a rich plethora of activities in fields like IT, art and craft, dance, yoga & music. A blend of this along with activities like debating, quizzing, poetry recitation, spellathon etc. creates the desired balance and an interesting mix of extra and co-curricular. Regular participation in group activities helps our students to imbibe the skills of effective communication, team work and inter personal skills.

Sports

Besides intellectual, mental and emotional abilities, the holistic growth aims at the development of physical abilities too. Keeping this in mind, the school encompasses various sports like table tennis, volley ball, throwball, etc. A Sports Fest is organized every year during winter. Marchpast and a series of well-organized competitions in various games are conducted. The winners are awarded medals and Trophies.

Performing Arts & Visual Arts

The school provides a platform to exhibit hidden skills and potential and allows to enhance creative passions. Performing arts include dance, music and oration. Most awaited is the Annual Cultural Fiesta in which there is mass participation of students wherein the students get a chance to develop and exhibit their skills on stage in the form of dances, skits, compering, multimedia creation, etc.

Week Celebrations

As an initiative to create awareness about today's sociological trends, we have Week Celebrations, e.g. Save the Earth/ Language/ Joy of Giving/ Traffic Awareness Week etc. and throughout the week we have activities/competitions, Circle Time for students and Teacher's talk on that theme. On the culmination of these Celebrations, students are awarded Certificates of Merit, shown videos and presentations to reinforce the values imbibed during the week.

Trips

At Sacred Heart we adopt a teaching methodology that is suited to the individual needs of learners and lesson plans are also based on multiple intelligence theories. We make sure that students are not taught in water-tight compartments and the focus is to impart experiential and application-based learning through and field trips to places like Museums, Historical Monuments, Botanical Gardens etc. Nature walks are an important part of the curriculum.
